Spoilers. Their cameo happens during the scene where Theon Greyjoy rescues his sister Yara from their uncle Euron’s ship. Unfortunately for Mac from It’s Always Sunny and Bertram Gilfoyle from Silicon Valley they were Euron’s soldiers who were guarding Yara.
On an Instagram post with his arrow-in-the-eye cameo, McElhenney captioned his appearance: “Don’t blink.”

It’s Always Sunny and Game of Thrones have had a connection over the years, with showrunners David Benioff and Dan Weiss writing the IASIP Season 9 episode titled “Flowers for Charlie” and they made cameos as lifeguards in Season 12’s “The Gang Goes to a Water Park.” So it was only fair that McElhenney got to do his cameo.
