SEGA Genesis Classics is a collection of the Japanese gaming company's most iconic titles. The collection originally launched on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 with dozens of games.
With the launch of the current generation consoles, SEGA saw fit to keep the hits rolling, adding even more games than the original release and launching it for all the new platforms. That includes the Nintendo Switch, which means you're about to get the best SEGA handheld you never thought you needed.
How many games are there?
There are over 50 games included in SEGA Genesis Classics. All the favorites are here, from Sonic and Streets of Rage to Phantasy Star and Golden Axe.
Unfortunately, a couple of games got the axe in this repackage: Sonic 3 and S&K won't be along for the ride. But we over a dozen more games to make up for those losses, big as they are.

Multiplayer, achievements, and more
As you'd expect, these classic titles are getting infused with some modern capabilities. For starters, select titles will support online multiplayer where it makes sense. And if you're not keen on doing that, you can still play local couch co-op and multiplayer by using each Joy-Con as a separate controller.
Other added functionality includes support for achievements, the ability to 'rewind' a game, and support for save states to make sure you don't lose your place in a game.
